First and Foremost; a well deserved “Thank You” goes out to all the volunteers that made Bonfire Night and the D1 Scrimmage Day at Lasser Park the HUGE success each event was. Once again the “Wizard Magic” was on full display. With an event the size of Scrimmage Day, when we played host to 24 towns at Lasser Park, our VOLUNTEERS really stepped up! It was a virtually flawless, smooth and efficient event and a real testament to the commitment and professionalism that truly makes the WYFCL Wizards the envy of the League. With that said…
Can you feel it all starting to fall into place? Scrimmage days have come and gone. Bonfire Night was a fun event for everyone, and much deserved after a long hot month of hard work. The grueling heat of August practice is behind us, the first day of school “anxiety” will soon pass and in just a few days the 2010 WYFCL Football Season will begin. They’ve all come so far in the last month and now it’s time for our boys and girls to shine. GAME DAY excitement is in the air!
In our first night of home field action, the WYFCL WIZARDS will kickoff their 2010 season at Lasser Park with a Saturday night DOUBLE HEADER. It all begins at the “beginning” with the Mighty Mites Blue team taking on New Windsor in a 6:00pm game. Then the Big Kids of D3 Blue go up against the always tough Middletown Middies at 8:00pm. In the span of a few hours at Lasser Park you can watch how it all begins with the Mighty Mites, and how far they might someday go as D3 players.
So come out to the field and help us kickoff the 2010 season right and Watch the Magic!
GO WIZARDS!
